i have a superjet 95 (stock ignition) and it only spark for a couple of turn and then stop. sometime the engine will start but only for like 5-10sec max. it was running smooth 3 days ago and now its workin like a POS. im pissed
could it be the CDI???

Try disconnecting the stop switch, the black / white wires at the connector near the electrical box. You might want to turn the idle all the way down so it will die if this solves the problem. The stop / lanyard switches can have build up on the contacts causing them to look partially on and make the CDI do weird things. The switches are servicable but the lanyard switch can be tricky with several springs and contacts that can fall out, so be careful.

Check across the spark plug caps for continuity. You should read about 4500 ohms if you have non resistor caps. A bad wire can make it run like crap and on one cyl. Next I would find another CDI and try it, borrow a buddies or buy a stock unit that someone has removed since upgrading.

if your black and white stop wire is disconnected and the problem is still present, id lean toward a bad cdi.

there is still a chance that you could just have water in the stator area or a bad coil.... or bad ground in the box. but usually a few sparks then nothing is your cdi.
