Float on the left side of the ski. Grab the handlebars and turn them all the way to the right. Grab the gas and kick your legs trying to get a leg onto the back platform. Make sure the motor is not cavitating. Good luck!

you are right about the side mount, but when you are heavier its harder but the more power you have the easier it is

Yeah I'm 220 and the side mount didn't work for me until I bumped the power a little. Definitely give it a shot though - it's the easiest method if you can do it. Otherwise, the long tether idea works well. They are much much easier to board from the back if they are running. (that doesn't sound right)

Keep trying, once you get it you'll love it!

When you side mount, do what Rancid said and make sure you give it FULL THROTTLE right off the bat!

side mount is the way to go for heavier riders. make sure you keep your elbows bent or you'll get a shoulder injury.

if you do a search for blaster side mount I'm sure you'll get some good threads.

Hey guys,

I have had my blaster out 4 times or so now and I am starting to get the hang of it. as I am 5 9 215 starting up is not always easy, but I have found a sidemounting method that may be helpfull, it takes a bit of faith, but it has worked for me.

You kind of look like a dead man being dragged but you can save your cool for when you get on.

I simply plug in, start er up and push hard to the rightand just drag beside the machine, eventually the water pushes you up and you step one knee then the other on the back, then presto chango, hoppity hop hop

Try not to land it flat. If you can get the nose tipped up a little, it'll make your landings a lot softer.

When I land wiith the back down it kinda slows me down, but yes it decreases the impact.

Does anyone have advice on how to sub these bad boys

a convensional sub is tough on a blaster but it can be done. straps help a lot.

turn subs are not that hard, just get into a slow turn leaning over and give it gas.
