SXR Impeller came off

Not really , the pump had a rattle.
I pulled the pump and the impeller was on the drive shaft,
Not threaded onto the new pump shaft.
Where I left it, tighten 3 gal. Ago.

If thrust tightens the impeller ,

How can it loosen?

Carrier and pump bearing all turn fine.

I've had that happen on my x2. Now I always make sure it's torqued in there.

We've had that happen due to a faulty CDI that allowed the engine to kick and run backwards. Spins the impeller right off. Happened multiple times before we figured it out and really had us scratching our heads.

Well the book calls for 72lbs .
Soo I used a torque wrench this time.

I never in the past tighten down that much.

They make a special torque wrench to tighten impeller
