Just started skiing 6 months ago and need some advise on best mods.

Iv got a 05 superjet with Riva pipe...riva head(35cc) ...Boyeson rad valves...Iv ordered as freestyle pump cone and am about to bore out pump nozzel to 85mm at the weekend. The prop on the ski at present is a Solas I or J. Im looking for more bottom end punch and would like to know what would be the best prop for my set-up. (rider weight 170lbs).

Is my Solas worth repitching or should i go for something else instead?????

I found that for best results, call Dave at Impros... He will ask your set up, riding conditions, etc and recommend a good prop. Also, yeah, you could repitch your current prop.

I'm running a Solas concord 13/17 w/3mm cut back... works welll over the 14.5/18 concord I had in there before.

Cheers Frosty......im over in Ireland so can be a bit expensive to ship overseas......If i know what im looking for i can maybe pick one up on Ebay.uk

What pitch should i be looking for in SkatTrak prop......????? iv also been looking at adding a Msd or Protec CDi.......seen a Protec adjustable Cdi going at a good price but didnt know if it would do as good a job as the Msd Enhancer. Do you know what would be better for my ski?????

Thanks again for any info......

I think the MSD will give you more than a modified CDI will provide however; I run Pro-Tec modified CDIs in all my skis...

Not sure on the Skat-Trak prop pitch, as I've never used one before... Ive always just gone with a Solas.

Also, like Jetskiking said, watch your reduction nozzle bore when using a WW cone. You can check with SuperJett, or do a search, he has done some experimenting with that... if you open up your nozzle too much, and use the WW cone, some peeps have experienced some caviation problems.

try this out... http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/1285&highlight=wolf+cone

Thanks guys.......at first i thought it was straight forward to bore nozzle to 85mm when adding cone....but i think ill check out a few more posts tonight just to make sure........Was gona bore the nozzle tomorrow so would be up and running for weekend.

Im thinking 85mm should be ok.....most of the guys on the link didnt have any probs with that diameter.

Added the ATP pump cone and bored nozzle to 85mm. Worked really well and very noticeable increase in bottom end.........I was told the prop on my ski was a Solas I prop and was looking for a 13/17 Concord....turns out there was a 13/17 concord on the ski all the time......just got to get it cut back 3mm.

Is there a noticible difference after cutting the prop back 3mm????????

Also waiting for MSD enchancer......cant wait to get that on the ski and see the results.

Speak up ,don't kiss azz
There is a difference cause peeps swear by it but 3mm is an 1/8 of an inch so I can't see how much difference it makes .

Basically moving your prop back an 1/8 of an inch.

Someone explain it to me cause i'd really like to know what the difference is :boggled:
