Surfriding Impeller suggestions :thinking about replacing Scat 13/18 that came with the ski.

I bought this ski years ago in Findly and it never saw the surf and just ran terrible out of the hole. It has some bolt on parts so after some dedicated tuning time it was manageable in the surf. Now it's time for a mid shaft replacement and while it's apart I would love to try a lower pitch impeller for some better low end power. The ski was not set up for freestyle so I have to just improve what I got. I don't have a tool to remove the Scat so may pic another Scat just for simplicity but will be open to suggestions. 96 SJ 701
Stock crank and cases, ProTec head, 180psi 35cc domes, Factory Dry Type 4 with water injection, MSD enhancer, Stator is advanced 4*, flywheel lightened by #0, twin 44's

I didn't know you could re-pitch. I think i'm more interested in the lower pitch new impeller. I need a Skat hex tool

Skat hex tool is the same as the hex tool included with a new Hooker prop.

You can repitch, but if it is an older prop like you think, then the outer edge is probably worn from years of use and will need to be rewelded, ground down, and rebalanced as well as repitched. Also it may not be a big hub, if not, then definately not worth reconditioning as it will not perform like a big hub. Better to buy new and sell yours as a budget prop.

you need something with a soft leading edge to let the dry pipe spool up. a 9/15 hooker will load the engine too hard down low and not allow the pipe to work correctly. have somebody bend the prop u have.
