Impeller?

hey all.... im still kinda new at all this and I was wondering if could ask you all a question
I have a 99 SXi 750 and have a chance to buy a new impeller for a good deal.
its a Skat Trac 14-17, and it has 4-7 stamped on it
Now here is my question
What will a 14-17 4-7 impeller do to my ski compaired to stock
speed or torque?

Probably make it run like crap. That is a pretty steep prop. It is primarily for speed and will really suck out of the hole.

I have a 95 sxi and I had a 9/17 then traded to a 12/17 swirl. It hooked up better in the turns but I lost a TON of bottom end. If your not too concerned about speed, then dont go taller than the 9/17. It hit pretty good but the dual carb 750's dont have great bottom end anyway.

That's good info. I've been talking to Impros and debating whether I want to get my swirl repitched to a 10/16 or something lower like that.

if your 99 sxi is a pro,then you'll be ok using it assumingyou bore the nozzle to 80 or 81mm.
