In the poor house

Last week I hydro locked my 701 engine. I disassembled the motor over the weekend and found that I bent one of the crank rods. I just got off the phone with Riva and they want 500 bucks for a stock crank that has been trued and welded. Does this sound expensive? Has any one had better luck anywhere else? Thanks

I ordered a rebuilt SBT last night. It was only $275. I have heard good things about them, but they may charge more if the core is no good. It comes with rew rods, bearing, trued and welded.

I have heard good and bad about the siezco.

Harr...I just had the same thing happen, bent rod. Phill had a 650 crank available. Excellent condition - so I used that.
500 seems kinda steep when you can get the HotRodz crank for 400.

I picked mine up for like 325 or 350. I split the cost of a complete rebuild kit from AJS with anouther guy on the boards. We both came out ahead. The whole set up with pistons, gaskets and hot rods crank is 600. Not to shabby.
