info about Lamey Powervalve Motor

Does anyone have the time to give me some history and info about these motors and the person who built them. I see people selling them for big money and they look really tricked out w/the valves. I'm sure they perform excellent, I just wanna know more about it.
Thanks,

Lamey was commisioned to build powervalve style cylinders for Team Yamaha. He basically took the design of previous cylinders from PJS and added bosses to powervalves could be cut into them. The reason why they are a better performer than a nonpowervalve is you can set up the motor for bottom and top, not a happy medium. With a powervalve, you can change the height of the exhaust port window, keeping it short for bottom end, and opening up for top end.

Once you have ridden a properly set up PV motor, they are pretty tought to beat. Then again, I have ridden some that weren't set up right that felt like crap. LOL
