Since I seem to have an endless flow of ignitions coming through my garage for testing, I figured it was time to upgrade my timing light. I have gone through 3 different inductive timing lights now and wanted to move up to something a little more modern as well as one that had the advance feature. If you ever want to map out timing curves accurately, the advance function is an absolute necessity.

As usual, I did a ton of research and the Innova 5568 came highly rated for it's features, ease of use and because it has already been proven to work on a multitude of 2-strokes with CDI ignitions.

Retail direct from Innova is $214.29 but I found it on Amazon for $98.24 ($105 shipped to my door).

Time will tell if this unit proves to be worth the money but after 2 days of extensive use, I am more than pleased with my choice.

So far I have used this on a stock 62T CDI ignition and the new JSTL Inc TL ignition. I will update this thread as I get to try it out on different systems. I have read that it doesn't like the multiple discharge type ignitions but I happen to have a Flame unit in for testing so I will be able to report on that shortly.

- OEM 62T CDI - Advance function works but it picks up double the RPM due to wasted Spark and cuts out at 9999 RPM which will be a bit of a drag.
- JSTL Inc Total Loss - performance was flawless and advance functioned exactly as desired.
- MSD Enhancer - to be determined
- ATP Epic - to be determined
- ATP Epic HX3 - to be determined
- ATP Flame - to be determined
