Dead link... but an engine is an engine, dirt bike or quad. Does anyone have any opinions on this? I've never heard of it before. I thought you went with a larger exhaust for more bottom end, not smaller? I'm sure the seller could give me all the info on jetting, but wouldn't it make it run a bit rich?

intereesting... works for me.

anyway.. in all seriousness. it's a exhaust restrictor. similar to what everyone removes from little kids bikes because that choke the life outta the engine and make them gutless.

if you want more power you need to de-restrict it, not the other way around. if you want performance, you spend money. thats the way it works. being around power sports all this time you should know that. it's in the handbook.

So it will not improve the performance... at least it's cheap and easy... I might give it a shot... but I hate to throw money away.

I know powersports cost money. I'm not looking for a cheap way out. On the contrary, i'm looking to spend a lot more money. A YFZ450 will cost a significant amount of money, and after extended A-arms, long travel suspension, a pipe, cams, and a list that could continue quite a while... I'm certainly not looking for the cheap way out. I'm simply open to inexpensive and easy upgrades as a temporary solution while I look for a good deal on a clean 450. Tricking out a 350cc air cooled engine to make it go as fast as a stock liquid cooled 450 just seems silly. makes sense to me
