Super Jet Installing a dual bilge on stock SJ---- need help

Location
Plano
Finally got the time to install my dual bilge kit (2012 SJ). How and where does the stock siphon go? Obviously i cant fit the second rule in with the stock siphon in place. I'm sure i'm gonna have more questions as the day progresses haha. I'm not exactly knowledgeable working on skis but i'll bust some knuckles trying.

I moved it in front of my bilges. 5200'd the corners of it to the hull.

Edit: that's on an 08 SJ so it will work on yours too

Cool, thanks... Is it just screwed into the hull? I cant see how its attached... Also i just unbolted the ebox, how do i go about taking the heat sensor off? They sure do have alllllll these lines zip tied down good all over the place. Suppose thats good so they dont move around but a PITA to work on :):):):) haha.

I've disconnect the pink and black for the heat sensor (not sure what to do with them?) and was wondering how i take the actual probe out, just un-bolt it and take it out?! I've connected the red and black to their appropriate spots, just need to know what to do with the pink/black wires then i can put the ebox back.

Thanks OCD, carrying on with the installation now. Now comes the drilling of the hull, kinda makes me nervous haha.

Well after a day of off and on work i'd say i got a lot accomplished. I'm sure a lot of you guys could get this done in like an hr but i've done a little at a time. Beer here beer there, run to the butcher to buy steaks for the night, cook some steaks, work on the ski as the food settles, eat desert, make whiskey drink then back to working on the ski... haha. Anyways i just 5200'd the the baskets down in a good spot (planned how to place them) and tried to put some 5200 on the stock siphons corners... not sure but i just do not see that keeping it planted. Feel like the first wave i land i'll hear it knocking around down there. Any other better ways to secure???? Tomorrow i plan to drill my two thru holes and figure out a place to drill for the switch... Figured i'd just use the 5200 to help seal the thru hole fittings, says its good for that. What size drill bit for the thru-holes? 3/4 doesn't seem big enough....

I 5200'd my syphon down 2 seasons ago and it hasn't come loose yet. The thing weighs nothing so it doesn't have much mass trying to break it free. My bilge pumps are 5200'd down and they haven't loosened a bit in 3 seasons of riding. U should be find as long as u sand the bottom of the hull a bit before glueing them down.

I used a 1 inch hole saw for my bilge fittings. They fit perfectly. I dont know of that will work for u but it worked for me.

Good luck!

I left my stock siphon in it's factory location and only decided to install one of the two bilges I purchased. It think you will find one works well, I personally think that 2 of them is overboard and if you need two bilges, you have other issues. The benefit to two bilges is you will always have one in one fails.

The siphon is held down by a little bracket. The bracket attaches to the hull with a little phllips screw head thats located under (or damn near close to) the midshaft.

It was a little nerve racking to cut my first holes in my ski, but now it's not that big of a deal as I've been cutting and grinding after re-enforcing. Use a step bit. Looks kind of like a pyramid . Starts small and gradually gets bigger in steps. I don't know off the top of the head what the exact size is. The step bit would be a good purchase and something you can throw in your tool box and use over and over rather than buying the correct size bit that your never going to use again.

***Edit, by the way, the OCD Solutions stuff is TITS and worth the $$

You don't "need" 2 bilges but I find if I'm doing a lot of tricks in a row the engine bay can get filled pretty quick. Nice to get the water out as quick as possible between tricks!

One should be fine though, just make sure you don't leave any zip tie pieces in there for the bilge to suck up. One of mine is out because of that.

You should start a build thread and throw some pictures in it of your work!
