intake grate and sand exiting

after changing my intaje grate into a worx one from stock, can i still leav water at full speed into sand without scupping all the sand into pump?

You'll probably scoop some but scoop grates work because you're moving along with the back end lower than the front. When you're on the ground, the front is the same level as the back. The grates don't actually have a shovel like scoop that sticks further than the bottom of the hull.

Why would you want to hit the beach at 45mph ????

Sand will get in your pump. Even dragging your ski onto the beach will get a little sand inside. As long as the engine isn't running until you slosh the sand out you'll probably be ok. BUT the occasional rock in the sand will ruin you prop/pump/day.

I wouldn't do it - I never my run ski onto the beach and almost never even walk it up on to the beach if I can help it. Use a beach stand or kart.

The beach will scratch the hull unnessecarily and the risk of damaging your pump is huge.
