Not legal! If you have glass in bindings, those need to be blocked off to pass tech

It's a frustrating rule when SJ and SXR can run in the same class. They should spec tray width at the widest point. What's the point of calling it stock when the hulls are such different sizes.

Its a safety issue first and foremost. Besides that, I raced my SJ in 2003 with Footholds, It actually made my riding worse. You use the sides of the tray for leverage, when you move your foot farther out it messed up the balance........... Honestly, The SJ in the right hands is faster than the SXR on the race course in stock classes. If I was still racing I would still be on the SXR. The SJ is a handful when riding to its potential. You have to really ride it hard to make it handle as well as the SXR. Take alot of energy!!!!!!!!

Yes. I have realized the narrow tray of the superjet causes a narrow stance, negatively impacting hip mobility and increasing the load on the back. Straps yes, but if the concern with foot holds is safety, then there shouldn't be an issue with using bob/rickter holds and just removing the foot hold insert.

But there is a width measurement as part of the rules. You would be wider at that point.
