300/440/550 Is my flush connector in the right place?

Looking at my JS440, previous owner installed a quick connect flush connector, but I am not sure it's in the right place.

Does this look right?

Line goes from the pipe closest to exhaust, splits, one side to pisser, the other side towards head. Flush connects between head and pipe on this line, opposite the T going to the pisser.

Thanks

Where it "T"s to the headpipe, the water is going to travel the path of least resistance, straight out the side, some will go into the headpipe also. The other direction will get the cylinder and manifold flushed. Just stick your finger over the thru hull fitting and block the flow some.

Yeah thank you this is exactly why I was wondering. When I turn on the hose (engine running) 80% of the water streams out the pisser like 20 feet. A very small trickle comes out the exhaust. This does not seem right to me. I did actually block the pisser some with my finger, but then I was worried I would send too much water into the engine.
