Will run for about 30 minutes straight then engine will only idle or go about 1/8 throttle, after it cools off, runs about 5 minutes then does the same thing, still water coming out the side of the hull, doesn't look like a restriction, do these older models have a problem with the overheating sensor making it run in safe mode ??? Never came across this with the 3 previous stand ups I've had.

My SXR is having the SAME exact issue. Except even after sitting, it still runs like garbage. There's a sweet spot in the throttle where it'll run halfway decent, but if you move it a millimeter either way, it bogs...bad.
Never had this issue with my Yamahas...I am getting real frustrated with my ski lately. First the bearings and now this. I had no problem working on the old Yami 701's...it was usually very easy to diagnose problems.
