Super Jet Is nozzle boring worth it?

I am looking into boring my nozzle, and am wondering before I do it if it is worth it and what should I expect?

I have a stock pump, with stock impeller, and a bone stock 61x/61x.

Any help is great.
TIA

So the 13/16 is the best in your book for a stock engine.

Boring the nozzle will make more low speed thrust, especially if overproped to begin with. Small hub Concords work well once they are flattened out, that was yesterdays prop so find a used one that has already been modified. If you are going to buy a new impeller get a Hooker 9-15. The only way a 9-15 wouldnt be enough load is if the cylinder porting is too low. The new big hub Solas needs to be pitched down for anything below 850cc.

Boring the nozzle will reduce the load on the motor. Like kevbo said. The way I match my pump to motor is to select a certain pitch prop then using my smallest tail cone I open up my reduction nozzle using my different diameter rings. You want to open it up just to the point that you cannot slip the prop ever. If you go one size bigger you can slip it in some conditions. This is the sweet spot. This will allow the motor to not be over loaded and rev up very fast with great throttle response. Then increase tail cone size to get the pump to respond as quick as the motor can. That's when it all comes together and rips your arms off.

Interchangable rings and pump cones sizes are how you tune a pump. 90% of people do it all ass backwards and try to find a pitch that works with their fancy non adjustable trim reduction nozzle. At 267.00 a pop they just go with what someone on the phone tells them to run. It's a joke when I ride some people's expensive setups that only sound like they rip because of the stickers on the side of their ski. Tuning is a lost art for most recreational riders.

Mag pumps work great with the right parts in it. A bigger pump is where you see big noticeable gains when setup correctly. Having the bigger hub that reduces volume behind the prop makes the pump prime faster. The extra vanes cut the work of the vanes in half making the pump more efficient at processing the water. Mag pumps are no joke. They work awesome and bigger is better.

Sounds like you know a lot about pumps and setups.

I would like to get a mag pump but don't really have the extra coin right now to get one unless I came across one cheap.

Without doing a mag pump what do you believe would be the best impeller for my setup and should I just leave my reduction nozzle as it is or bore it?

Spend your money like this Pipe--->Impeller-->Motor--->Electronics--->Pump
If your getting a BB motor get the Impeller for that set-up and save some coin
