not at all, but easy to verify with ohmmeter. Test the coil, it should read approx 530ohms. Most likely the wires are cut and it will read open circuit. At ebox brown/ white to black(ground) or directly on the coil. You can replace just that coil easily. We have both new and used charge coils.
if wires are not cut and coil tests good, then you need to seal it back up or it will fail soon.
