inside i found a screen filterlike object that was broke. im thinking that the broken parts inside blocked the fuel flow and thats what caused skipper fo conk out.

my other question is can i replace it with this?

You don't even need it. Fuel doesn't flow through it. Just throw it away. One side goes up the pole, one side goes to the one way valve on your fuel tank. Just leave the valve, chuck the rest.

I thought that was the water seperator? I'm pretty sure it is. It has a screen in it to keep out dirt and other debris also. In you second picture, that is just a fuel filter.

dont run the cone fuel filter- they stop up with premix in no time
get the bigger kind from a powersports place
most skis dont have fuel/water seperators on the fuel system
other than one one the tank vent line

those are water separator/ mesh filters I run them on all my ski's they separate water because water settles to the bottom mine has a ring that will float if enough water gets into them

well the insides were all broken on mine, where can i get that mesh?

I'm telling you bro you don't even need it, chuck it.
If it has fuel in it, then you need to replace your one way valve. It's to let air into the tank as the carb sucks it out, to keep the pressure right. It should not let any air/fual back out into the line. That is there to separate the water out of the air vent line into the tank, so water doesn't get into it. If you just remove everything past the one way valve, no water will get in it anyway.
I've removed them from every ski I've owned.

Really? In the Polaris ( same unit ) it is a main filter/ separator I run them on my yami's they actually have a water catch on the vent
