Freestyle Jet Dynamics intake grate question

I picked up a JD intake grate . I looks like some one wielded extra material to the scoop as it extends to the back on the intake .

Does any one know if this is factory or shade tree engineering . I'm all fo some shade tree just want to know what I'm dealing with. Also dimensions would be great .

One more ... this could have never been used on a superjet IMO . The center spine hits the pump shaft . Would have to be cut at least 1 inch to clear .

chirp, chirp... I just checked mine. On mine the "scoop" is 5-1/4" long like yours... however, it looks like at one time it was longer. Basically around the same dimensions as yours now.

Maybe they made two versions?

Go ahead make my day punk .... I dare you to give me a scope height measurement like picture 2 .

Thanks for your help. Trying to see if this is the same JD intake most of the superfreaks are running .

OK.. I could edit my original post or admit I blew it... the scoop is 4-1/2" long, with 1-1/2" rise. If it helps the "tallest" part of the vertical blade is 3-1/2".

Thanks , two different intakes for sure . Mine at the tallest point in the rear is only 3 inches . 2 inches at the 5 1/4 mark . So what does this thing fit ?

By the looks of it, that grate was modificated to fit a B1 with a SJ pump shoe.
