Jet Dynamics reduction nozzle?

Guys,

Last night I aquired a protec drop nozzle that uses a Jet Dynamics reduction nozzle and a Protec trim ring/turn nozzle.

This reduction nozzle looks nice, as it has a nice thick tapered finish inside and goes down to 81mm on the exit.

I've never seen one of these before and was wondering if anyone had any info about them?

It seems to be cast pretty thick, so I was going to machine the inside enough to accept nylon inserts so I could change the exit diameter, but I'm not sure if this would be necessary.

I'll try to throw up a few pics later. I was hoping to be able to use this as a lift nozzle for the surf, and a drop nozzle for racing.

Cheers.

WOW that thing looks super beefy. If you want to get 30+ degrees of trim out of that thing it will take some grinding.. well more like a lot of grinding. But it does look like a good piece and the exit thickness looks about as thick as the protec reduction nozzle that I have.. I turned it out to 85mm and there is still a gob of metal there
