JetTrim install

I picked up some Jettrim tray padding to replace the stock tray pads on my 94 550SX. I've seen a couple of pics & a video of the install process & strips of padding was used to fill the gaps & grooves where the stock plastic was. Jettrim didn't send anything like that though. Any suggestions as to what material to use? Or is it even necessary?
Pretty excited about how this is going to look. Should be a big improvement! 20181122_112742.jpg

Bitchin Stickin! Just fill the grooves with 4mm underpad, and sand smooth. Then run the Jettrim right over it!

Might have better luck on pwctoday with jet trim questions, majority of us use hydroturf here due to footholds. Looks good though!

Nope! Enough of us old school riders here to help. No need to send him elseware!
While on the subject, New section for Tech in the works....... Stay tuned!

Thanks Jr.
Any suggestions as to where I can get this small amount of underpad?
I thought about using strips of Hydroturf or GatorGrip. Of course there wouldn't be as much surface adhered to the bottom of the JetTrim because of the cracks....but maybe it's enough, especially if I fill the cracks with contact cement. And I have miscellaneous scraps of it around anyway.
