300/440/550 Js440 won't pump fuel

Hi guys, bought this ski a couple of months ago and have been trying to get it running. It will start off the primer and rev up, but die when the fuel in the carb runs out. I rebuilt the carb, did some trouble shooting and found the fuel filter was leaking and the check valve on the tank was also leaking. Replaced both and fired it up but it hasn't fixed the problem.


any suggestions would be great, cheers

Does your intake suck in air or blow it out? If it does, than it could be in your fuel lines. My prob was that the reeds were bent and in pretty bad shape. Let me know if this helps

Thanks mate, mine is a piston port, so no reeds. I think I've sorted it now. Solution is below
