JS550 750 Swap - Need Opinions

Hey guys,

New to the forums here and would love some opinions from the experts. I currently have a modded 550sx and am looking to get another. A guy near me is selling his JS550 (89 I believe) which has a 750 swap for $2,000. Upgrades include the following: swapped with a fresh 750ss motor (175psi on each cylinder - only 30 hours on it), has the Rhaas 550/750 jet pump swap, new hydro turf, lots of aftermarket parts including exhaust, intake grate , stainless impeller, and extended ride plate. Runs great with no issues. Hull is in good shape. See photos.

Can you guys let me know your thoughts on the ski? I'm looking for one that is fun to ride on my lake with lots of low end power. Also, is $2,000 a reasonable price? I appreciate the help!

I sold this build for 2k recently. It hadnt been on the water or cranked in a few years. And it had a 440 pump with just a tall impeller. The one you are looking at is probably more ride-able. You'll never have Superjet low end power with that small pump though.

2k is probably about right to build that ski. $100 hull, $500 motor, $150 in turf. The rhaas pump conversion and a good impeller add another $1000. The thing I hate most about it is the single carb and 650 pipe. Easy to fix that but still, choking down that motor big time.

^ Agreed. The ski is certainly worth what he's asking considering he has the pump conversion in it as well. I have a similar build and love it. These are fun skis.
