Js550 not "fully" starting

OK this is getting ridiculous. My 1988 pp js550 is not fully starting. What I mean is when I try starting it, it'll sputter a few times but will stop when I stop cranking. I need help. It also is still spewing gas out of the exhaust. But not a whole lot. I really need some help.

I'm thinking that as well, but I have it as what the manufacturer set it too so I don't know why it would be off.

I'm guessing that this mark is supposed to line up with this Ridge.

Yes, I'm thinking I'm gonna have to have professionals look at it. I'm probably going to take it to my local jet ski shop and have them look at it. I guess I'm done for the season :-(

Only 3 things needed to make it go. Compression, fuel, and spark. Make sure you have those before you take it to anyone. Try spraying some fuel down the carbs while cranking or something.

Well, I might of found the problem. I might of put the coils on backwards. I'm gonna take it off and really sodder it and see it that works

Haha it's cool. I looked on mine real quick and I have the same wires capped. Are you having a problem with it
