Ok, i'm really just venting here... if you've seen any of my threads you know i've been wrestling with my ski for quite some time.
So I ride my ski this weekend. I've just been dealing with the low end bog that I can't solve. Its been rideable, idles, planes etc... just has this massive bog that turns into a ungodly power band.
I had installed a buddies stock CDI hoping it might help but it didn't.
Today i'm taking it to a local shop because i've run out of ideas. I don't have a local guru to help me diagnose it so this is the last straw. I absolutely hate taking it to someone. There is so much knowledge on this forum I was sure that I could figure it out, but it would appear that I just don't have what it takes. Kills me.
Anyhow, last night I put my MSD Enhancer back in. I figure if I want the guy to 'fix' my ski I want all the parts on it that I plan to run. I get finished installing it, button up the ebox and start it to make sure it runs etc.
Now it runs like it has a air leak... :banghead:
I was running it for short periods trying to eleminate the possibility of air in the carb or lines.... eventually it started dieseling and I had to scramble to find a towel to stuff in the flame arrestor. FML....
So now i'll have to pay to have the air leak fixed before they address my bog. Of course the bog could be a result of an air leak, but I pressure tested it a few weeks ago and it held so who knows. If the money gets out of hand i'm just gonna part the whole sum-ova-bish and start saving for another motor I guess. This has ceased to be fun, but I have learned a lot about carbs, tuning, etc... Blarg.
