Kawi 650sx & 750sx questions

HI Guys,

I have some general questions about these 2 skis.....

can you use the ride plates from one ski on the other (650sx & 750sx)

also does anyone know what size pumps are in these skis? (are they the same)

I can tell you for a fact that the impeller off a 650sx will not fit a 750sx. They are the same size, but the impellers are different.

No the rideplates won't interchange. The 650 uses 6 bolts and the plate has tabs where the bolts go, the 750 uses 4 and they're in countersunk holes along the edge of the plate. Also the front is different where it meets with the intake grate. They're the same size pump but no the same. Both are 140mm and I believe the yami's are 144mm. The 650 pump and pump shoe are all one piece, once bolted in, you have to silicone it to prevent cavitaion. The 750 and sxr use the same pump, but differs from the 650 pump in that the plastic pump shoe is glued into the pump tunnel and the actual pump seals up against it when it's bolted in. I think the exit nozzles are all interchangable, I'm running an x-2 exit nozzle and trim ring on my 750 pump.
