Madmat and I were bored during a flat day and raced...Both are on -2 lightweight SXR platforms. Matt's on a WDK Envy and I'm on my Trinity EVO... MAtt's got a couple more mods than I do...

My mods:
155 compression
Wet Pipe
Vilder lightened flywheel
Everything else is bone stock including impeller.

Results: Dead tie out of the hole and on top end. :smokin:

All true....but I have less mods. Matt thought this would make good discussion. I am not sure about his mods.

I know he has higher compression, a MSD enhancer, Aftermarket impeller, not sure what else...

I would be curious to see how my similarly displaced stock motor, stock hull, stock ignition, 130psi, wet pipe and 48mm carbs fairs against your setup.

Straight off the shelf OEM Yamaha parts, all assembled by Yamaha. Who they used as an outside consultant is beside the point.

So you will be running the stock exhaust and intake-carbs then correct,I mean we have to keep the comparison fair right?

Not possible, I would be willing to bet money the motor made more power with the stock exhaust than the exhaust that is on it now. The stock GP800 pipe was very well designed, of course you already knew that.
Besides Korn doesn't have the stock exhaust on his ski, does that mean he should bring his back to stock? His pipe was at least designed by professionals, mine is a bunch of coffee cans welded together with a battery.

DJ, you going to Daytona?

My buddy rides at 2001 superjet and is pretty much dead even with me. Well, that was back before I installed a new prop and pump cone. We have yet to race since. Here is our mods when we were about dead even. Also note that both skis were not fully tuned.

Superjet
Shaved head - half girdle 160lbs compression
B-pipe
MSD endhancer

Stubby freestyle pump cone
Intake and rideplate are aftermarket
Stock carbs with AM arrestors

SXR
ADA headw/girdle 175lbs compression
Wetpipe with jumper (6 degree advance)
Bored Nozzel to 80mm
Stock prop with freestyle pump cone
TBM intake and stock rideplate
Stock carbs with AM arrestors

B Mod

-3 13/16 w/85mm out
