Other Kayak shoes?

Hey. I have heard a lot about wrestling shoes but one of my friends said that he might try kayak shoes. I need to buy some new ones and I wanted to know if anyone had tried kayak shoes for the tray.

im in the minority again, but i never liked wrestling boots. ive worn about everything else and liked the results.

Ryan bought a pair of shoes at Cost-co that look like skate shoes but have quarter sized openings all the way down the sides. He really likes them.

I am also not a big fan of wrestling shoes, but I wear them. I believe they would be better with a Lycra sock to keep down the rub and with more arch support.

I wear a $30 pair of running shoes with and without running socks. My area is mostly sand and I usually have a lot in my shoes when I'm done... I have yet to get blisters or any uncomfortable rubbing

Anyone try riding with some of the new wakeboard boots? A friend of mine refers to them as "booties" but the ones he has basically look like flexible high top water shoes, kind of like these although these ones look a little more stout.

I would think that wake skate shoes would be good. I used wrestling shoes for a few years, but have been doing Vans hi tops for the last season and am much happier. And if the shore is rocky the Vans are a bit cushier than the wrestling shoes. I also wear 3 mil neoprene booties every ride. Mucho cushy and protect well. Think when I wear these booties out, I'll go 5 mil next time.
