Krash 50 cal foot rocket kv997 reviews/reliability

I am looking into buying a new Krash 50 cal foot rocket complete ski with the kv997 engine. I’m located in New England and there is a dealer not far from me selling them for 11,500 out the door. I’m wondering how reliable they are and how hard it is to get parts for them. I can’t find many reviews on these turn key units so if anyone out there has one and could give me some feedback I’d appreciate it.

Lol.. this topic has been beat to death is all.. I've seen pages and pages of this topic on facebook as well.

Ive owned 2, but not a rtp models. Been around 2 early rtp models and they had lots of issues. I hear the the newer ones are a lot better. Power is meh for 997cc, handling is good. If you need to finance, may be a good option. Otherwise, buy a clean used yamaha base a/m ski.

Where on Facebook? And I don’t need to finance just nothing used anywhere near me for aftermarket hulls. Would like to be able to buy one within a few hours of me I’m in Massachusetts

There is a whole group dedicated to the rtp on Facebook also saw this same question on one of the jetski pages yesterday.

If you dont need to finance, I would buy that 701 M1 for 8500 in PA. If that is too far away, could have it shipped. Or any ski for that matter. If you dont need to finance, I wouldnt buy a rtp, better options out there.

i run a 50 cal and like all jet skis they have their quirks. i swapped mine out to something more ready for parts as Krash is kinda its own thing and not much crosses over, so if you have an issue you could be waiting ( or buy the basic stuff that fails which seams to be electronics, and a starter), where as a SJ based motor and electronics everyone has parts and new parts are easily available and cheaper .they say the motor is an untapped diamond so there may be some good potential out of them soon. bang for your buck its a good deal on a new ski. just read the reviews and upgrades for them like a second ground seams to help some electrical issues that can arise , a toggle switch for the beige and one for the brain wouldn't hurt either. remove the primer or upgrade it. its a great starter hull and you can always upgrade it to what you want later or sell n buy something else at least it gets you out there ripping
here is the 1200 i put in mine and running the MSD total loss, bolt right in, and the switches on the left one for the beige and one for the ignition
i ran a ground wire from the battery to the starter and an extra one to the electronics and then another one from the electronics to the motor cases even though there's a ground going to the stator/ flywheel

Like your review of the 50 cal @InsaneFMX ! As far as starter hull for someone,l’m not so sure.FB is riddled with new guys/girls coming into the sport and not having a clue with even the slightest problem. For more experienced riders, even guys that hold a basic understanding of a two stroke l think they will do fine.
l also think that Krash messed up by not designing or allowing “some” parts from other manufacturers to be incorporated into the the mechanics of KV.l guess there are some parts that will work from what l have read. That being said, this is my second Krash hull and am satisfied with the hull and their KV pole. But l used my own yamaha based driveline to start with.
As l have said before Krash is making headway and will hopefully improve on what they have done.Honda,Toyota and Subaru were junk when they first started importing into the states.Because having a a/m ski priced at 13k is awesome
