Krash Predator or Rickter Edge!

I am going to be buying my 1st AM Hull soon for a winter build and I want to see what kind of feedback I can get on what hull is better.

I live in Chicago area so it will be used for a lot of flat water riding in a bunch of rivers and Lake Michigan. I defiantly next summer plan to go on at least 2-3 trips to some surf in Florida and my Cali.

Thanks for any feedback I can get!

Edge all the way for me. But they are both geared towards surf. If I were you I'd get something like a havoc that can still handle the surf but geared more towards flat.

I need to find someone with an Edge and a Predator in the Midwest and see if they will let me ride them! Looks like the Edge might be a better choice!?

I love my edge. Extremely versatile. And with a big motor flatwater flips are doable. But your not gonna be linking combos but also not doing a regarded fw flip that your head drags the water.

@JRock637 I hear the Edge is a good all around ski and yes defiantly looking for a hull for freestyle and FW Flipping.

@Roseand and @jeastes1 I have heard a lot of good things about the SuperFreak Bad Ass hulls but aren't they shorter hulls? What is the length of them and can you run a longer handle poll on the SF?

They aren't necessarily short hulls. You can get them in different lengths. Stock length, -4.3, -7. I rode a -7 and I couldn't believe how it handled for such a short hull. I personally don't think you can ever go wrong with a badass if you have the funds for it. They are such playful skis and many people ride them in the surf too.

I just saw this SF for sale but he already sold it. I would of jumped on that! I wonder what he sold it for? What do you think about the 2011 I see one for sale on here for 4000

That was the -7 I had the pleasure of riding..Was amazing with a 701 in it!

I don't know about the 2011. Not sure it's the same badass bottom deck..

The 3 hulls mentioned all ride completely different. By far I like the edge. Hence why I bought one. But your not me so you might want to go try all 3.

I have not ridden a predator so I can't comment on them, they seem like great riding hulls. You can not go wrong with an Edge though. Agile like a shorter hull but stable like a longer hull. Removable rear sponsons completely change the handling characteristics of the hull to suit riding styles/conditions.
