These bikes seem like they come loaded with alot of the stuff People add to there quads after they purchase. I heard they stop production to fix some issues, but what have you guys heard about these quads? Have you ridden one? I know they used the motors in the polaris. I"m interested in steping up to a nice quad here in near future.

They are hands down the best stock quad you can buy. Hell, a pro, I can't remember his name was racing with one right out of the box and winning with it against the best of the best. That ought to tell you something. The 525 is the fastest stock quad ever made. I don't even like 2wd quads very much, but I would buy one if I had a good bit of money to mess with.

Tim Farr was the rider. I read up on it in Dirt Wheels but you know... I gave up on magazine reviews years ago. You just have to read up on the quad in the magazines, on the boards, ect but the final decision should be your own from riding the quad, ski, bike, old lady, ect... I bought Kawasaki 700 V-Force 3.5 years ago and I absolutely hate it! If you read up on the V-Force forums, those guys act like it is the best quad out there. Kind of like reading on here about super jets... Go ride one first, then make your decision. If you have a Honda 450, you know what you like and don't like about it.

KTMs come ready to race. I rode a 525 EXC bike a few weeks ago. Tons of power. Absolutely insane torque on the bottom end. Only thing is the quad weighs 100 pounds more than the bike????? :ugh2:

I like the honda 450's but I would liek to have reverse. I ride trails and right now I use reverse alot on my raptor 350. ITs just so easy to back up and turn around. The only 2 that have reverse are the ktm and kawi.

Electric start and reverse are two biggies for me. Everyone always say the extra weigh blah blah blah... My riding bussy made the point one day that you end up getting that weight from mud or snow/ice packing up on your quad anyways. A really good point. Then of course that mud weight is on top of the extra battery and reverse weight. You don't realize how much you need reverse than when you don't have it. Sure reverse won't back you up a hill or out of deep mud but it sure beats getting off your quad every time to lift the back end around!

at the track who needs reverse it is nice when ur lazy(not sayin your lazy bud)....and electric start is the worst trust me all my ridin buds have it and they hate it....battery after battery after battery.......... it all depends on what kinda ridn ur gonna be doin i cant think of anyone that takes a 450 on the trails in wv...if they do them some tired mugs at the end of the day....... i rode 75 miles on a grizzly and my ass was beat all to hell...

I took my 380 around the block a few times today! I'd take a bike over a quad anyday. Anyday.

I can't wait until I get a chance to replace the fork seals so I can go riding all day asap.

I promise you you CANNOT ride ANY quad where we go. Even if we took a quad frienly loop you spen the day riding sweep. A bike will run circles around ANY quad PERIOD, track or trail. that is a fact.

trails are for old people... but it is family fun
