Lake Erie Presque Isle Freeride

We took a ride down to Erie PA yesterday to check out the ride area. Everything looked great! The campground is just outside the park entrance, you can't get any closer. The hotel was really nice. Big parking lot, the manager said no problem with trailer parking (they have fishing tournaments throughout the summer so they are used to the trailer parking) The host bar is huge, live music on Friday and Saturday nights and they are waiving the cover charge for freeriders. It is about 3 blocks from the campground and the hotel. Really looking forward to this ride. All of the info is in the Freeride forum.

Thanks Mike. It's a real nice set up. For all you guys coming down from Canada, it's about 2 hours from the Peace Bridge.

I grew up in Erie. Let me know if I can help with locations of anything. McCoy's is a cool place. Most of you good bars are going to be on or just off of state st. Lame marina is where I kept my boat for years. Beach 11 is where everyone anchors and hangs out. The far side of the bay can be like glass if the winds are from the west but a wash out if they are from the east. You can pull watercraft up to Rum Runners and there is usually live music. Boat and fish commission and coast guard patrol pretty hard.

The ride is going to be to the right of Beach 10 (Budny Beach). The after party is at The Oasis Pub.
