Lake Lewisville, TX today

I managed to fix my stator problem this morning (I'll put that story in my carnage thread) and we took seven stand-ups out on Lake Lewisville. All the boat ramps are closed, so we found a park (like play ground park, not boat ramp park) where the water was close and used beach carts to get to the water.

Here are a few pics. The first shot is us unloading (the Asian lady is Hoang's mom). Second picture is me and Hoang taking a break at a park. Notice we are sitting on a roof. And the third picture is me standing in a parking lot, notice the street sign behind me.

It's nice having the lake to yourself.

My wife put some serious time on her Superjet today too. She's 8 months pregnant. haha.

We rode there this morning with a group of five. We lost a bendix and toasted the sator on my step sons new ski.(92 sx)

I almost nailed a log at wide open It truly was log jump :biggrin:It would have caused major damage if I would have screwed up and did not clear it.

Are guys like riding in streets that have flooded??

I have always wanted to do that if it were to flood because it would be an adventure riding around streets you usually drive on.

Not really. The streets don't stay flooded very long, it all drains into the rivers and lakes pretty quickly. There is one road near the lake built through a flood plain that might be underwater right now. If it is, it will stay that way until they can let some water out of the lakes. Anything near the lake is likely flooded, but that is all Corp. of Engineer property, and not easily accessible right now.

There is a bridge over the lake that cuts us off from the rest of the lake, and the water is so high that boats cannot get under the bridge (about 2-3 ft of clearance), so we have that portion to ourselves. There was one boat and a couple of sit-downs and us, and that was it. Usually were constantly dodging 30-40 boats and skiers. If we wanna jump wakes, we just slip under the bridge and find a cruiser. ;-)

Skinnyman, you need to join us on the deserted side of the lake!
