Other Lake Travis - Austin TX

I have a cousin in Austin and my wife and I are thinking about taking the skis down later this summer. Any one ride out there? Anything good or bad we should be aware of?

lots of good I don't need to talk about. The bad is Texas is in a BAD drought and Travis is down a lot right now. Only a few public ramps are still open BUT you can still shore launch in some areas and if you have a beach dolly you can still launch.

I have no idea but its pretty funny to be skiing and then see a bare ass or more all of a sudden???? LOL some peeps should keep there clothes on at all times.

I was about 5 years old the first time we visited Lake Travis and we past hippe hollow (at that time we had no idea) Then my mom saw them.... Only time in her life she wished we had a speed boat and not a ski boat.

Thanks for the link JonnyB! Looks like we will miss it. Planing on being at the lake Aug 12-14.

I don't have a cart and will end up launching from where ever my cousin puts his boat in. I'm guessing we will head to a beach and set up a day camp or just tie off to his boat where ever we end up...
