I have a 2004 SXR and when i sit for period of time in water it seems like I take on water and if hit the bilges it will get more water out. It will some time seem like it lists to the right.

What is the best way to check for and find a leak?

I can not see any crack or holes in the haul.

Have you done anything to the stock siphon bilge?

Is it still elevated when it enters the hull?

probly from the shaft seal. i wouldnt worry about it, skis should never sit in the water for a long time.
all skis lean to the right, i think because its got a huge tube filled with water, others think battery.

siphon hose?

sounding ignorant, but siphon hose, elevated when it comes into the hull?

Bought the ski with Factory B wetpipe, aftermarket waterbox, spark arrestors, Riva Filters, 2 installed after market bilges, and foot holds, aftermarket intake grate, and sponsons, and then hood straps.

Could someone explain how to find the siphon hose and check to see if it is in proper position.

Thanks.

The skis come stock with a siphon bilge that sits just below the coupler in the back of the bilge area (engine bay). This siphon is operated with a vacuum created by water being blown past a tube in the exit nozzle and it subsequently sucks water out of the bilge. The tube comes from the pump, through the ski, enters the bilge, and immediately is elevated to above the waterline keep water from emptying into the bilge from that nozzle opening. It then extends back down to the siphon.

If your's isn't elevated, if you even still have it, then you will leak from your siphon.
