Lessons with Jason Stoyer

Last week, my buddy and I took a 2 day jet ski lesson with Jason Stoyer. WOW what a 2 days. He is truly a remarkable teacher. He watches you ride and can immediately tell what you are doing right and what you need to do to properly to do freestyle tricks. I have been riding for a year already and just wanted someone to help me get my tricks to the next level. He also just helps with basic riding and turning techniques. He tells you the smallest things that you can do with your arms and body placement to really nail your tricks. In addition, he also goes over your ski to make sure it is working at 100%. If anything is wrong he fixes it on the spot. If anything needs to be repaired or tuned, he can repair at the end of the day. For me, my foot wells were to loose. In about 30 minutes he was able to make them much tighter to fit the shoes I wear. He also rides your ski so you can see what it can do and what eventually you will be able to do on it. Than to top it off, all three of us went to the channel/ocean and began jumping waves etc. If you have any questions feel free to PM.

I bought his flatwater freestyle DVD he did with Wamiltons a couple years back and it was pretty decent. I made my Wife sit down and watch it when she first started riding.

He rode with the swamp rats 3 weeks ago. It was nice to see backflips in the swamp!

I assume that is Boggie on the Thunder Pumpkin? Incredibly action packed video. Stoyer performs best when just having fun. On the X-Scream machine he cold easily take Nationals if he just goes out and has fun with no worries. Watching him practice is so much better than watching him actually perform in a 2 minute rutine. His style and arsonal of tricks is second to none IMO!

stoyer is my favorite of all the competitors to watch!!!

I agree, and the reason is - variety!! He has a big bag full of tricks. Now, he does manage to piss people off at times - he definitely has a temper. But, he is definitely a great rider and a good guy who's always willing to help. I also think he has one of the best riding styles - I'm not talking about how many backflips he can do in a row or how high his rolls are, I'm talking about the picture he creates. I love watching him nose stab - he goes huge, but he has such great style.
