Life jacket suggestions?

Hey all.

I know there is probably 100 answers to this but, my current life jacket doesn't really let me move as much as I like.

It also sorta has a zipper that I can feel rub on my neck... Annoying!

So I thought I'd see what some of you recommend.

If it helps I'm about 6'1 175lbs

Both Jet Pilot and Jettribe have PWC vests with the side buckles. I own both and id say they are about the same. Jettribe is on sale, that is what I currently am using.

Personally, I prefer the neoprene type life vest rather than the floatation-inside-nylon-fabric type life vest (which is unfortunately what Jet Pilot US carries).

IMHO, Jet Pilot Australia has the best life jackets for our sport:

So many great options thanks guys!
I'm going through each of your links now to see :)

Ps how come none of the male models wearing the lifejackets dont have scrobby arms like me lol!

I've been a big fan of jetpilot side entry vests. I currently like the nylon version more then the neoprene just based on looks.

I just ordered float bags for my kayak from NRS.com They are a solid company which has been around for a long time serving the kayaking and rafting community.

I have a Kokatat kayak vest similar to the Ninja. Kayak vests are short because when you are sitting they can not extend past the cockpit spray skirt. They don't have floatation near the sholders to allow for extreme range of movement while paddling.

IMHO, for jet skiing I prefer a jet skiing life vest for jet skiing.

i wish Slippery would come back out with the molded USCG vest like 15 years ago, basically like a wakeboard vest but USCG, nobody makes them anymore, I am running the ever bulky JetPilot side entry now.

Been using the JP side entrys for years , once I tried the side entry vests I never looked back , for what I do constantly water testing skis it's a no brainer.

Mine is a Seadoo branded but it's JET PILOT all the way, if you shop around at the end of the season you can find some really killer deals on them.

Jut a few examples of some of the craziness you can find out there :

The Riva jacket above appears to be a Neoprene jacket that goes for $69.95 on the Riva website , that's plus shipping which I would guess to be around $25.00 :

Yeah I feel you there. It's definitely quirky. I don't mind it though. Seems to float well enough. Now that I have a super easy solution to bring some basic tools + phone for emergency. I can't imagine going back unless I find a pocketed side loader

I pulled the trigger on one of those Riva jackets , mine is a little snug ATM so I got an XXL to use till I get some more weight off , Temu gave me a $5.00 credit for the turf arriving late so I got this for $32.79 shipped I will let you know how it goes after I try it out on a test ride , BTW this one is being shipped from inside the US so 5 -10 days max or I get another $5.00 credit.
