George is the guy who bought my new style X2, and as far as I know, this is the only thing he has ever attempted to mold for the public.

For those of you who are looking for a much better alternative to the stock hood for racing or freeriding, we will have something for you. This hood is going to be a sweet one piece, much stronger than stock unit. Can't wait to see what the finished product will look like.

Craig,

It is going to be a carbon copy of Jon's mod blaster hood. It uses a stock or UMI steering. I talked with the builder and he wants to hit fair price points, this is going to be right up your alley.

We aren't to sure of the specifics yet it will definetly be stronger and lighter!! How much wait save and price will be determined after the first part is pulled. For anyone who wants to do a little research on our abilities check out our main website. http://www.lavroboats.com or do a google search " lavro drift boats " We are here to have fun so the price wont break the wallet but at the same time it is alot more complicated than lets say a gen 1 x2 hood. Also of we have scottie helpin us so you know its gunna be sick. Hopefully when this hood is finished we can do a carbon blaster but we shall see.

Here are some more pics of the inner we have the flange mounted, the plug pva'd and it all gel-coated. So tomorrow we will be putting our first layer on. We will start with a 3/4 oz mat and build up one layer every day. Also i have some more pics of johns hood we are using for the outter. We are going to be making a silicone mold to protect the lambo orange paint. Its a very neat process for you who arent familiar I will be posting pics in the coming days.

Our buddy Derek used to have an original of these, that scoop in the front needs to be blocked off for freeride, it was like a water vacuum. The stock hoods never even kind of held up. They were throw aways as far as I was concerned. Anything should be better than SMC though.
