650/X-2 lightened flywheel advantage/disadvantage

got my first ski (1991 650sx) and was wondering what some of the advantages and disadvantages of a lightened flywheel are. Thanks so much.

Faster acceleration and better throttle response. Shouldn't be any disadvantage.

Not really any disadvantage of a lightened stock wheel

An aluminum is usually lighter but has a tendency to get damaged easier

I have one new lightened 650 flywheel if you wanna upgrade

The only disadvantage I can see with the light flywheel is the engine slows down quicker - revs up faster, slows down quicker, but it's not really a disadvantage. Lightweight flywheels are good all the way around - easier on your front crank bearings, cheap performance upgrade.

will have one 650 n one 750 in week or two... but both were drilled also so each will have an additional $50 charge

How much for 650 flywheel and is it a aftermarket or a modified stock

they are all OEM lightened flywheels

$100 for lightened = 3/4 pound removed

$150 for lightened and drilled = 1 pound removed
