Just wondering what the weight is of the lightest, recorded RTR ski that you know of??
My 2010 BOB was about 240lbs, and I'm sure there's a few skis out there that are lighter then that...

My last Superfreak was 230 RTR ( no fuel ), so I'm sure Lucas has to be in the 220 ish. I hope to have my new hull below 220 RTR.

Wow. 220 I insain to me. My rickter weighed 117 lbs with turf, foam, pole bracket and hood hooks. Now it's about 300 lbs assembled. That means I added 180 lbs of drivetrain, gas tank, pump etc. I haven't seen lighter pump components or engine stuff really. I run a 7 lb battery and a kart tank. The Power Factor is about the same weight as a b pipe plus I have no water box. I guess my RRP pole is heavier than say a carbon pole, but I can't find any other practical ways to cut weight.

I think somebody has to weigh all the components seperatly to see what it all weighs. I also think that their is some fluctuations with scales here. I remember 2 years ago at Daytona when we had an industrial scale to weigh skis and the lightest came in at 265 lbs... and that's with the hull weighing 60 lbs (Pat's)

Personally, I think 220 is almost impossible unless the hull weighs 20 lbs!

Steve, what does a stk hull weigh? (with turf, footholds, and foam)

I would ASSUME my 98 weighs 320 rtr and if that is the case, for me to get to 220 I would have to run without a hull. I am shopping for a hull pretty hot and heavy right now and thought that if I got to the 250-260 rtr mark that I would have won the lottery.

An entire drivetrain weighs in at very close to 200lbs. average. My ski weighed 283lbs. assembled and the hull alone weighed exactly 88lbs. I did all that on an industrial scale that was calabrated a week before.

did pats hull have a mag pump? mine didnt maybe thats where there could be a slight difference.

I'm pretty sure Pat's boat all have mag pumps in them

I'm thinking that maybe somebody has found a way to put helium in gunwales and has attained the 220 weight!! lol

Weights are like hp numbers..

I'd say some of the Japanese boats would be the lightest ever.

Btw, mine is 267 on a bathroom scale that read my weight exactly what our calibrated pad scales at work did. The hull is 85 or so with light battery, light waterbox, little foam, etc so getting to 220 I find hard to believe.

Lucas Ski was 52lbs (Thats foothold pump shoe) Hood 5lbs So go from there, every time I ship a motor its 80lbs give or take, so add 25lbs for pump, another 25lbs pipe & electrics, another 25 lbs pole/Steering so why can't you get a boat in the 220 ranage... We weighted Lucas's ski on a certified shipping scale

My Rickter with the heavy RRP billet pole, stock tank, etc.. etc RTR is 263 when the tray is dry, lol

all i can say is once you pic up a superfreak hull you'll believe 220 is a possible

I have pick up a superfreak hull before(at daytona) and I beleive it was lucas's hull, but if the hull and hood weighs 57 lbs and components weigh 200 lbs (that's stock pump) than the math doesn't add up!

I weighed my SF on certified aircraft scales, but why would those be accurate?

This thread is pointless, I'll stick to riding my heavy pigs!

Mine Squeals like a pig boys . I put it on some scales the other day 256 no motor or fuel . Add 4 gallons @ 6.2 a gallon plus 75 pounds for the motor ( just weighed it to ship ) grand total ........... 357 LBS ! ............ I knew it was heavy . Heavy stuff includes . At least I saved 3 pounds with a Berky box .

RRP pole, 144 mag pump, billet cylinder , 17 0z . biax standard , RRP foot holds .

If your Rickter weighs 263 rtr then it seems feesible for a Berky ski to weigh 220ish. The Rickters are great skis but certainly not the lightest.
