Limiting Rope on X-Metal Pole

Wondering what you guys running X-Metal poles are doing to attach your limiting rope to your pole? I hate to try and drill into it, I was thinking of some sort of fabric loop to go around the turn plate area and hooking the rope to that, but I'm not sure if it will slide around and interfere with the steering etc. Can y'all post some pictures of how you have attached your limiting rope to your X-Metals?

Mine is adjustable and that is where I have the soft shackle looped through. There is a slide that extends out or recesses into the pole. I looped my soft shackle through the center channel on that adjustable section. If placed here it has no effect on steering or the chin pad.

I added another nut and bolt and used an L bracket (right where the little gap in the slide is that you can see on freakrider's pic). This would prevent you from being able to run the pole in the shortest location but I never did anyway.

Thanks guys, I think freakriders method is going to be the ticket as I run mine at the shortest setting. Also, like he said my pole pad will prevent the eyebolt from hitting and has a nice clean look.
