looking for opinions of rickter and xscream hulls

hey guys new here. just like the thread title says just kind of looking for advice on the xscream dvx hull vs. the rickter hull i think the xfs.

There isn't much of a comparison unless your looking at the ninja xfs. I've had both of them. Quality is amazing on both. Rickters have a little more weight but really give you an oem comfort. If your going rickter try getting at least the carbon if not the ninja.

by saying there isnt much of a comparison do you mean they are both very similar or youd take one over the other hands down? i cant seem to get the rickter site to cooperate at the moment to compare the different rickter skis

Weight wise. Kdx and DVX are much lighter the the xfs. You'll be happy with either ski. Rickters website is out of date bad. Pm me if your interested in purchasing new I might be able to help you.

I received a bunch if info from RRP when I bought my first FS-2 and XFS. Let me know what info you're looking for and I'll see if I can help you out.

what is the top rickter model? the FS-2 evo? what is the weight of that ski? what engines do most people run in the rickter skis? all I hear is good things about xscreams engines. has anyone rode a ski with the 1400?

What are you looking to do? If its flat, the xfs is the only consideration (from Rickter). Quality of the XS/DVX hulls is second to none, hands down. I've ridden all if the stuff out there, and IMO, the KDX/DVX is by far the best choice. They are the lightest, prolly the strongest, and assemble like a Superjet (everything fits). They are much easier to ride (for me) than the xfs. Some prefer the freaks as well. I owned (and learned to flip on) a carbon -4.3 freak and loved it, but its a different ride. The circus has replaced it for flat water use.

I rode the 1400 this weekend. It's nasty. Dangerous nasty. If you're not experienced, start with something around 900 ish. The big motors will hurt you. Footholds must be perfect to avoid getting ripped out, etc. its way easier to learn on a 900, and in a good hull, they'll do anything you want. More power is useless until you have the skills to use it. You'll just do bigger pancakes and beat your ski up more with big power :)

mike - I'm not sure if it'd be classified style or stupidity or insanity or all but thanks

Philip - what I want to do is big tricks - barrel rolls and back flips but with tons of air. all I've riden to this point are kawi's which I've learned after alot of broken parts are meant to be upside down. all of my riding is on a lake but don't let that fool it's a big lake with alot of boats. I see 6-8' wakes every weekend.

that being said guys help guide me to the right ski. I am leaning towards the dvx with a bare minimum of 1000. I'm not the smallest guy around

I'm in Missouri around the lake of the ozarks. I can ride all summer with out seeing another stand up ski besides my buddy. let alone see someone on a freestyle ski I can beg to let me try out

No stay on the lake of the ozarks, table rock doesnt have near the boat traffic, just trees. Lol. What part of loto are you at. Were on the 44. Either hull you'll be fine with.

I love my XFS, I don't have any experience on a KDX but it was one of my considerations when I bought also. I don't think there is a bad choice here. You'll be happy with either hull. Good luck with your decision!

usually on the grand glaize arm taking advantage of the party cove traffic coming and going.

ejake - what do ride at the lake? do you know anyone with aftermarket hulls around?

Im either on my qsm vengance or my wifes sxr. Arround us there's a few super jets and our skis. If I remember right, wetbox from stl has a place and hes riding a trinity evo hull.
