Looking for Suggestions: Gen 1.5 BOB

Hello All,

I have a Gen 1.5 BOB ski that runs great, and is really fun. I am just a regular guy who likes to Ski. I am looking for suggestions to make more power out of my current ski. Here is my current setup:

BOB Gen 1.5 #24 80lbs
736cc wetjet 61x engine
Single 46mm carb
Wisecos
lightweight flywheel
msd enhancer
ADA head
Limited B-pipe / Bk twisters / flo control
Cold fusion midshaft and couplers
Hooker 9/15 prop
CATS trim
carbon ride plate / carbon reinforced engine bay
xmetal pole bracket
umi turnplate/bearing
toby chinpad
umi throttle lever
blowsion trim lever

Anything here that I could upgrade to make more power, or is my only option going with a bigger motor?

Get a mag pump and get your cylinders ported

Port your cylinders, raise compression and what will help the most is tuning your pipe.

Thanks guys. Keep the ideas coming. I am going to read that Pipe Tuning thread this evening.

I live in Albuquerque, NM and have yet to find anyone that does work on Jet Ski engines, so its a bit more difficult here. But I would be willing to send out parts, so that is an option.

Lots of people to send your cylinders off too. Talk to them all and take your best pick.

Home porting off a template will definately save you money, but power will also be less than a quality professional port job.

Ultimately I'd like a 900 motor, but don't know if that is going to happen. This motor runs strong, just doesn't have the power I am looking for.

You can send it to @holeshot and have it ported and stroked. Make it into an 809cc beast.

Pick up a 62t cylinder (they are cheap) and send it to me for porting. If you dont want to stroke the motor pick up a 701 62t cyl. If you want to stroke it i prefer the 760 cyl. If youre on a serious budget have me mod the exhaust mani and headpipe, get your flywheel lightened and toss in a set of carbon tech reeds.

Holeshot does amazing work. My cylinders are ported by him and it rips HARD and the customer service is awesome.

Anyone have cherry 62t cases and/or a 760 Cyl they want to part with?

I have both, but @holeshot is getting the cylinders. The crankcase is in great clean condition. I also have a crank but I would go with his crank set up to make a 809. I have ridden one and it will flip your bob.
