Freestyle Looking to get into freestyle

Im 17 years old and looking for my first freestyle stand up jetski. Im live in Ontario Canada and i am looking for a beginner freestyle ski. My budget is $1500 max. I was thinking a 1990 or newer 750 sxi or superjet maybe with foot holds. Like i said though im a new guy and im here to learn, so any of you guys/girls that have freestyled for a while any advice on what to look for and how much to pay for my first ski would be so helpful and very appreciated. Also is there any mods that are an absolute necessity for a beginner freestyle ski? If you have any advice or maybe even a ski for sale please let me know.

Thanks
Spencer

superjet for freestyle, try and find a 701 sn superjet or if you get super lucky a rn superjet or fx1 and then add mods as you get more money. I wouldnt waste your time and money on anything else for a freestyle ski. Nothing wrong with a 750sxi, just not so good for freestyle.

Dustin88 is correct. Get a 96 or newer SJ. The must have mods are B-pipe, footholds, and pole spring (my opinion), bare minimum. That's a good starting platform. You should be able to find one for around $3500 pretty easily.

1500 should/ might get you a clean or slightly modded Squarenose SJ with a 650cc.
I dunno what the availability/ market is up there (eh), but that's my guess.

I suggest saving your money to at least get a Square with a 701, or a FX1. Keep your eye on Craigslist (eh) you'll find something.

Defintely skip the Kawinfor freestyle.... Or period.

GL! Sounds like you have the right idea/plan.

Eh?
