i dont think that i can get a title for it and the guy i got it from bought it from a repair shop because they didnt pay for the work they had done on it so now i cant get it register and im stuck with it

Yeah...depending on your state you can apply for a lost title. The process is long though.

Sell it to someone in tenn. Then they sell it back to you after they license it

Tenn doesn't have titles, so you can file for one in your state with license and paperwork
