Depending on how much you lower it, you could just hammer the flange back into shape. If you're like me and lower it a lot because you want your holds so far forward, then the tube will be longer due to less of an angle and you'll be hard pressed to bend the flange. Well doesn't really make it longer but makes it protrude into the engine bay more and then you have to cut it anyway. I just cut the flange off and slid the tube out about an inch and put 5200 around it. Has been working perfect every since. Either way, you'll want to use 5200 to seal it and prevent water from getting in.
