Lets get the ball rolling. Any ideas on dates/location for the fall ride? Surfside? PortA?

Decided: Surfside Oct 17-19 See you there!

Need to do it at Newport Pass closer to Corpus Cleaner waves and closer to civilization (or as close as Corpus gets to it haha) I'm down to do the shirts and will have a Tiger Craft Aquabot with a TPE964 for demo and a Blaster with a 964 in it as well.

What dates are the Fall ride usuall held? I'm not going to Havasu this year so I'm wide open after Surf Slam

Hoping to get my Brawler assembled by then. October 17-19th sounds about right to me. How bout location? Surfside? Port-A?

Newport Pass.....big open area, usually cleaner waves, close to hotels and Corpus, close to the jetties/channel and a cove if you need to tune........

Newport Pass wouldn't be a bad idea, but we don't know the rules there. Port a has always been good. People know where to stay, camp ext. We have always gone to Port A for that reason. There is plenty of room there. However, we have been doing the freeride in the fall at Surfside and spring at Port A. I vote we change it to Port A(Padre area) for the fall and do a Surfside ride in the spring to avoid the building crowds at Port A in the spring.

There are no tourists in the fall at Marker 28. In the spring they are all over the place, including newport pass. More in the last couple years. Maybee because we have set later dates the last few times. But you are right about the cleaner surf, the pier down there is great too. I agree with that spot in the spring for sure and I wouldn't care if we tried that. There are less amenities there though like rv spots, hotels and restaurants/bars. But its up to everyone here. We do have the advantage of having the city manager of Port-A on our side up in port A. He has helped me with clearing up the rules up there. He has even told me to call him if the cops got on us for launching at our spot. Newport is patrolled by a different authority so who knows. First things first though, we need to decide between that general area or Surfside. We can argue the best spot on mustang island later.
