Mag not loading at take off

Just finished my build and when taking off I have to feather it to get going , if I don't prop just spins until it catches . What's causing this not load up at take off ? I'm kinda stumped ! Any other time it other then trying to go slow into a set up wake . It does fine so I guess it's anytime I'm not cruising along it doesn't load up . Any help is appreciated. 142 mag c-75 prop

Sounds like a little cavitation... If it's a small air leak you'll only really notice it at take off and stuff like that. That q8 uses so much silicone to seal the pump and mid shaft. Somewhere you have a tiny leak.

The stock rubber seal doesn't fit in a q8. You just have to silicone it like the old 650s. Kinda sketch to me, but if you use enough of it and seal it perfect it works.

Check the rubber OEM seal ring! I'm sure its off up top. They can be a pain with the magpump to stay put

Yeah I was kind of concerned that I did that wrong , but it just doesn't fit . I have a good little gap between shoe and pump . I'm off today so in gonna grab a monster and tear this thing down . @Twake how did clatter n like his ski ?

Isn't it possible to seal the gap without taking the pump off? Just take the intake grate and seal it from the pump tunnel, and if needed seal it from the outside, pump mounting area too?

All I know is that when you have perfect alignment it's annoying to have to redo it!

I trim the back side oem lip that actually sits on the housing and superglue the gasket to the pump with a few dabs. Then soap it when inserting.

It's for sale... Lol. But it's good. Just to small for him and too small of a tank. He wants a sj.
