No he will not!
I got this Skat-Trak Mag pump as a sponsorship/loaner from Precision Powersports in Ft. Worth, TX (Kaveman on here) :Banane09: I'm pumped, I'm going from street tires to slicks :fing02: This is the 144mm 12 vein version, which should help get more horsepower to the water

Anyway, I was just a little excited so I thought I'd post up some pics....it's SEXY!

Explain it to me?

I dont know much about axial pump flow and such.

do the increased amount of fins increase the hook up?
or is there some other design that makes it better?

I assume its lighter too right? magnesium VS cast aluminum?

It looks cool, and ive always heard they looked good, and they sell for $$$ so I am just curious as what makes it better?

That's where they shine the most as far as I know, I have riden Paul's ski with a Mag pump in the surf plenty and it is a night and day difference from mine with a stock pump......until now :Banane36:

I can't give you a fluids class on this, but the main differences are a larger hub, more fins, and better surface finish. Larger hub keeps pressure higher which leads to better hook up, more fins redirect flow more efficiently, and the insides are finished unlike the crappy casting marks in a stocker.

Yes, this one weighs 12.35lbs fully assembled as it is in the pics above. I don't have a stocker here to compare.

Nice... what's the button head allen bolt for on the top and bottom?

I think they are there as a safety to keep the stainless insides from spinning in the aluminum housing.

A wise man once told me that the stator viens are straight and closer to the back side of the prop and this is where a large portion of your efficiency comes from. I told him I didnt care where it came from IT SIMPLY ROCKS on my boat. P-Diddys analasys of street tires to slicks were EXACTLY my findings when I bolted up the 144 Mag to my boat, I will never go back to a stock vien housing. I do want that stubby cone on your mag though p-diddy, mine is much bigger.

Fluids class... I actually took a class called Fluid Videos. The grad was based on attendance and all we did was watch movies for an hour a week on fluids.

I think I should have brought in a DVD of some ski riding because those movies would just put most students to sleep.

Is that a set back? Are the set backs good for freestyle? I always thought they were more for racing.

sweet dude, congrats, i rode a ski before and after and it was great
glad you got the 144mm as that means normal props will fit. i think
