How should the filler be mounted? I assume it should go under the piece so you can seal it to the top deck. The one I have is used and there are screw holes like the filler was mounted above it. I'm just curious.

The only one I've seen went between the filler neck and hull.

I took the filler neck off and then attached between the filler neck and the hull. I also drilled holes at the top near the handle pole and mounted it with the stock hardware. The Maier Nose piece is a lot better then the stock one and have one on each of my 650's.
